How to use ExpertsFM
ExpertsFM works inside Claude, on claude.ai and in the Claude desktop and mobile apps. Ask a question and Claude searches episodes from leading business and tech podcasts, quotes what was said, and plays clips that start at the exact moment. It also draws on expert lessons from the episodes, including when each lesson applies and when it stops working.
You need a Claude account to use ExpertsFM.
ExpertsFM searches the episodes in its indexed collection, which does not include every podcast or episode.
Add ExpertsFM to Claude
Open Claude to add ExpertsFM ↗
The button opens Claude with ExpertsFM's name and address filled in. Check that it says ExpertsFM, then click Continue.
To add it by hand: in Claude, open Customize > Connectors, click Add, choose Add custom connector, name it ExpertsFM, and paste this address:
ExpertsFM works on every Claude plan, including free. If your Claude plan limits how many custom connectors you can add, you may need to remove one first. On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner may need to add it.
Get started
Type "ExpertsFM" in any chat to see the ExpertsFM menu:
- Get a clip every morning
- Build me an audio playlist on any topic
- Tell me what smart people just said
- Use tech's best expertise on something I'm working on
- Create a visual story from an episode
Or ask in your own words. For example:
- "What did the Acquired hosts say about Costco's membership model?"
- "Did Jensen Huang come up in the Trader Joe's episode?"
- "Make me a 20-minute playlist on founders who bet the company"
- "What are AI founders saying about making inference cheaper, and where do they disagree?"
- "Where are the most important gaps in AI today?"
- "Apply the best insights from the last two weeks to my work."
Starters. Claude may also offer these ready-made prompts:
- Find that moment
- Did they ever mention…?
- Trace a theme across episodes
- Think a decision through with me
- What's worth my time?
Hear the source. Answers link to the exact moments they cite. Tap a link to hear that moment in the audio.
The daily clip
If scheduled delivery isn't available on your Claude plan, type ExpertsFM today in any chat to hear that day's clip.
Set up the daily clip. Type ExpertsFM every morning, or type ExpertsFM and choose "Get a clip every morning" from the menu that appears. Claude sets up a daily task for 8:15am your time, unless you name another time, and you approve it with one tap. Claude can notify you when the scheduled task finishes.
Hear today's clip. Type ExpertsFM today at any time.
Change the time. Tell Claude, for example, "Move my ExpertsFM clip to 7am," or edit the task under Scheduled in Claude's sidebar.
Stop the daily clip. Tell Claude "Stop my daily ExpertsFM clip," or delete the task under Scheduled.
Phone notifications. To get them, turn on notifications for the Claude app in your phone's settings.
If Claude asks first. Some mornings Claude may ask "Want me to get today's clip from ExpertsFM?" Reply yes and it will play the clip.
Troubleshooting
A scheduled clip doesn't arrive or play. Open a regular chat and type ExpertsFM today.
The player doesn't appear in the chat. Answers and playlists include a link that plays the same clips in your browser.
A new feature doesn't show up. Disconnect and reconnect ExpertsFM in Claude's connector settings.
Disconnect ExpertsFM. In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, select ExpertsFM, and choose Disconnect. Delete any daily clip task separately under Scheduled.
